NL-TD Terms and Conditions

The Dutch TD Terms and Conditions are an addition to the HQ-TD Guidelines. When applying for a training or an exam you automatically agree with these terms and conditions.

A1. Training Management System (TMS)

The Dutch Training Department uses the Training Management System (TMS). The TMS has been developed exclusively for the Netherlands Division. The data in the TMS is therefore only available to members of the Dutch Training Department.

A2. Training

Although IVAO HQ-TD has developed its own Training System, the Netherlands Division still chooses to use its own system as mentioned earlier (A1). Trainings that are requested via the HQ Training System are transferred manually to the Dutch TMS.

A3. PreChecks

In addition to the ATC Exams, the Dutch Division also has the ATC PreChecks. A PreCheck is a preparation for an exam and must be successfully completed before an ATC exam can be requested.

The PreChecks can be requested via the TMS and are available for the ADC and APC rating.

A3.1. ADC PreCheck

The ADC PreCheck is a mandatory part of the Aerodrome Controller course and must be successfully completed before a Practical ADC Exam can be requested.

The ADC PreCheck can be taken at the following fields:
- EHBK
- EHEH
- EHGG
- EHRD

More information about the ADC PreCheck can be found in the ADC PreCheck Briefing.

A3.2. APC PreCheck

The APC PreCheck is a mandatory part of the Approach Controller course and must be successfully completed if a Practical APC Exam can be requested.

The APC PreCheck can be taken at the following fields (on HAL):
- EHBK
- EHEH
- EHGG
- EHRD

More information about the APC PreCheck can be found in the APC PreCheck Briefing.

A4. Exams

A4.1. ATC Exams

Within the Netherlands Division the exams are held in the following fields:
- ADC = EHAM_TWR
- APC = EHAM_APP
- ACC = EHAA_CTR

The HQ-TD Guidelines apply to all exams.

A4.2. Pilot Exams

The HQ-TD Guidelines apply to all exams.

A4.3. Observing during exams

Within the Netherlands Division, you are allowed to observe an exam for your own learning process. For this reason, the Dutch Training Department deviates slightly from the rules laid down by HQ-TD.

An Exam Candidate automatically gives permission for observation during exams. However, the Examiner and the Exam Candidate have the right to withdraw this permission at all times. (except for the Members of the Dutch Training Department).

A5. Guest Controller Approval (GCA)

The Dutch Division is participating in the GCA program following IVAO R&R 5.1.7.

Every foreign member who wants to control at one of the positions within the NL-FIR must have a GCA.

The rules and procedures for achieving or maintaining a GCA can be found in the GCA Rules and Regulations.
